1.- BIOSKINCARE™ helps most people control mild and moderate acne infections, and it also works for severe acne infections when used in conjunction with systemic (oral) antibiotics or with retinoids AND/OR a proper diet (as described below).

Isotretinoin and topical retinoids, such as Retin A, aim to decrease the amount of oil produced by the skin's sebaceous (oil) glands. But the problem is not too much sebum production if your follicles are not plugged or your sebaceous glands are not pinched off (see below). And those substances can have harmful long term effects and very uncomfortable side effects.

BIOSKINCARE™ is made off one natural substance (80%) that is produced by the Chilean snail to repair his own body and shell whenever damaged. The same substance applied on the human skin yields similar results, even for people who have suffered third degree burns. BIOSKINCARE™ is not a man made chemical (except for the cream base we use to make the natural substance into a cream and protect it from spoiling by micro-organisms). Laboratory screening of the snail's extract has shown it is a very complex substance. Some of the easily recognizable components are the structures of molecules of several vitamins, proteins and peptides: amino acid chains that act as signals to the neuro-system to trigger the body's own mechanism of skin renewal and to quickly react to kill opportunistic bacteria within the skin follicles -acting as a natural antibiotic without creating any bacterial resistance, as pharmaceutical antibiotics do-. Acne is a complex condition that depends basically on A) increased sebum production (at times when you are going through hormonal imbalances...specially during adolescence or if a woman during your period...) in conjunction with B) toxins within your skin due to the intake of protein of poor quality. The latter get deposited by your lymph system within the skin (in the dermis) and there they attract moisture both from within the skin and from the outer layer making it feel dry when there is plenty of water inside.... in fact too much with the result of excessive pressure on the sebaceous glands and the result being as as if they were "pinched off" (ouch!) and thus the sebum flow blocked, pores clogged and sebum eventually breaking out to the surface or within the skin follicles where it is a rich environment for the development of acne bacteria, inflammation and the skin lesions that characterize ACNE.

Anything that causes excess water retention within your skin can pinch off the sebaceous glands within your skin and make you break out sebum where acne bacteria will proliferate, in minutes, specially if you are going through a period of high sebum production. Excess salt and spices are the most common triggers, so if you eat too many potato chips... they contain both.

About cooked proteins and acne: Heat destroys and/or changes essential nutrients. New harmful substances are formed in all animal or vegetable foods that are heated in whatever way. Dietary protein is partially damaged in the preparation process (cooking, freezing, etc) Protein molecules interact with dietary carbohydrates, forming new molecules. This process is called "the Maillard reaction", and the same occurs to peptides (amino-acid chains) because of simple oxidation.

In more detail: Digestive enzymes break protein amino acids, only if the targeted part of the protein matches what the enzyme is programmed for. If the linked amino-acids have changed due to heat their is no separation. The un-separated amino-acid chains are transported by the lymph system, at a much lower rate than blood does. And such cargo of Maillard reaction and oxidized peptide products is discharged into the skin so that the lymph can return to the digestive tract and the liver to pick up new cargo of valuable nutrients that it transports for use by the body's organs.

Cooked proteins transforms into broken peptides (aminoacid chains) not absorbed into your blood stream but disposed off by your lymphatic system. And end up in the inner layer of your skin attracting moisture and pressing your sebaceous glands to the point of blocking them... and thus pimples. 

Procedure to get rid of toxins accumulated within your skin (in the dermis):

a.- Go to a sauna and get into it for 15 minutes (not more not less), then shower. Then back to the sauna for another 15 minutes.. then shower, and then drink clean pure water. You can do this once or twice a month if you do not get addicted to such pleasures... and the clear results for your skin... specially if you also follow the next step. (If a sauna is not feasible steaming your face a few times a week will help a little. (Boil some water in a pot on the stove, turn off the heat, cover your head and face with a towel and hang your face over the pot. Take your face away from the heat whenever you need to, and when the steam is gone, rinse your face with cold water.)

b.- Shift your diet, and stick strictly to it for two weeks. Eat loads of fresh fruits and fresh salads including tomato, avocado and virgin olive oil, plus fresh Brazil nuts (shelled) and 50 grams each day of high quality bio-available proteins in the form of raw fish such as sashimi (fresh fish the Japanese way without the rice) or raw tuna fish (fresh not refrigerated or canned). In between meals drink mineral water to help your body flush out toxins. The recommended amount of water you should drink is at least half your bodyweight in ounces of water (a 140lb. individual should drink 70 ounces/day ). After those two weeks try eating a diet high in fiber and raw foods — salads, bran, complex carbohydrates, fresh raw fish, Brazil nuts (you crack) and lots of mineral water. This will keep your system free of dirty proteins and your digestive tract moving so that your skin is not burdened by wastes your system can't handle. Keep your diet low in fat, sugar, too much salt and spices.

c. Apply BIOSKINCARE™ twice a day to a) speed the process of clearing your sebaceous glands of debris. b) get rid of acne bacteria within your skin follicles and c) clear acne marks and repair acne scarring.
